Our approach
PON! prioritizes user privacy and processes transcription and translation on the device whenever possible.
Information processed
The app accesses microphone audio only when recording is started. Audio is used for on-device transcription and is not sent to our servers or third parties. Audio files are not retained.
Transcripts and translations are stored on the user’s device for history. We do not collect them. They are passed to another app only when the user chooses the share function.
Network use
If a required speech or translation language model is missing, the device may download it from the platform provider during setup. Audio and text to be translated are not included in that download request.
Deleting saved information
Saved history can be removed in the app, by clearing app data, or by uninstalling the app.
